The hand-over tests (tests/runner_handover.sx, tests/runner_launchd.sx, tests/runner_view.sx) install a runner at VERSION and serve builds at other versions to update to. Those versions were hard-coded release numbers (LATER, UNSTARTED, UNCONNECTED in tests/support/handover.sx, MISLABELLED in tests/runner_handover.sx), so every release that reached one of them failed its own full gate until a test file was edited too. 0.3.6 through 0.3.10 each moved them by hand, and 0.3.8's first full failed on the one it missed.

release_after(n) in tests/support/handover.sx gives the nth release after VERSION, its last number raised by n, computed when the test compiles. LATER, UNSTARTED, UNCONNECTED and MISLABELLED are its 1st to 4th, so none equals VERSION or another, whatever number a release reaches.

Regression

Each arm is a git archive of the commit with src/version.sx bumped as a release bumps it, dist/sak-runner and dist/sak-runner-live built there, then bash tests/run.sh tests/runner_handover.sx tests/runner_launchd.sx tests/runner_view.sx (m5, sx af8455c3).

Fail before, master f42d8e30 with VERSION :: "0.3.11" (master's LATER): RUNNER HANDOVER FAIL (24 checks), among them "next names b", "the new process's take of next" and "an old runner that finds next taken at the bound does not roll back, and leaves"; RUNNER LAUNCHD FAIL (10 checks), from "a to b: the new runner registers its version and takes next"; RUNNER VIEW FAIL (1 checks), "Flows shows the update waiting for the steps running".
Pass after, this branch with VERSION :: "0.3.11": runner_handover, runner_launchd and runner_view all OK.
