Tracker: #3765

Step 7 of #3672's planspec: S3-V2 and S5-V1.

What it delivers

  • The live flow runs the web reads include queued, so a task whose flow run waits its turn carries a chip in the task list (a project's list and All tasks).
  • S3-V2: a queued task's chip gives its flow, its place and what it waits on: "Lone star · 1st, after #3669" and "Lone star · 2nd, next" in the queued tone, "Lone star · 3rd, blocked by SX #3656" in the blocked tone with the hourglass a blocked chip carries, and its place alone ("Lone star · 4th") while it waits only its turn. A task the chip names is a link in the chip's ink.
  • S5-V1: a Needs you row whose flow run holds a slot of its queue says so after when it began waiting: "holds SX's queue, 1 behind". It names the base when that is not the project's base branch, and leaves out a count of none, as a queue's counts do ("holds sak's queue").

Goldens

Chromium on darwin, light and dark at 1280x800 and 390x844, from a full run of playwright.config.ts:

  • Added: queued-chips (S3-V2: Fluent's task list with chips in the queued and blocked tones) and needs-you-holding (S5-V1: a row whose flow run holds Inbox's queue, 1 behind), in web/e2e/work-the-flows.spec.ts.
  • Re-recorded: needs-you and project-queue in work-the-flows.spec.ts, and needs-you in surfaces.spec.ts. Their Needs you rows now say they hold sak's queue, or their task list now shows queued chips.

Gates at the head

  • sak-gate full, gate run 2 at 735cebfb: passed. That covers the web build (svelte-check, 472 vitest tests including the design check), tests/run.sh, the release and deploy contract, playwright test (799 passed, 1 skipped) and the runner config (10 passed).
  • npm run design-check at 735cebfb: 0 findings.

The live flow runs the web reads include queued ones, so a task whose
flow run waits its turn carries a chip in the task list.

S3-V2: a queued task's chip gives its flow and its place, then what it
waits on: "Lone star · 2nd, after #3669", "Lone star · 5th, blocked by
SX #3656" in the blocked tone with the hourglass a blocked chip carries,
"Lone star · 6th, next", or its place alone while it waits only its
turn. A task the chip names is a link in the chip's ink.

S5-V1: a Needs you row whose flow run holds a slot of its queue says so
after when it began waiting: "holds SX's queue, 1 behind", naming the
base when it is not the project's base branch and leaving out a count
of none, as a queue's counts do.
Added in Chromium, light and dark at 1280x800 and 390x844, from a full
run of playwright.config.ts: queued-chips (S3-V2), Fluent's task list
with chips in the queued tone (after a task it follows, next, its place
alone) and the blocked tone; and needs-you-holding (S5-V1), a row whose
flow run holds Inbox's queue with 1 behind.

Re-recorded in the same run, because their Needs you rows now say they
hold sak's queue or their task list shows queued chips: work-the-flows'
needs-you and project-queue, and surfaces' needs-you, each light and
dark at 1280x800 and 390x844.
